( I've not been in this position-but wonder if the conflicting advice from the professionals is dealing with two things. It probably makes not a lot of difference to survival time-but it may make a huge difference to the patient's emotional well being. If this is the case, then it's up to the individual to weigh up the pros and cons-potentially several months of pain and recovery \(although I recovered well from both my...

( When I was dx. the first time around, 2 people sent me Cds about self awareness, curing yourself, postitive thinking. From a BC survivor.I listened for about 5 minutes, when she said that my negative thoughts brought on cancerI chucked the CD in the trash. At the beginning so many people said attitude is every. Oh, I have a hell of a lot of attitude. , )

( All that crap is what Barbara Ehrenreich calls "magical thinking". It is BS and you know it. One of the things that I think about is how most of the people on this very site who espouse "natural" healing" are not Stage IV. They are in that space of hoping and praying that their BC does not come back. That space of seeming health allows for this thinking...

Very sorry to hear about your wife. Unfortunately we are not doctors here. Since your wife has two divergent opinions, I would suggest a third. I don't know where you live, but if you are near a major cancer center, that would be a good place to begin. I would also suggest having the tissue from your wife's ooph. sent to another pathology department for a fresh reading. ,

Hi, Cat. I am so sorry that you have to join us but you are in a great place. You will get lots of support. I, too, was recently diagnosed \(September\) with bone mets to my spine \(c4 and c5\) after finishing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer in May. My oncologist said that my bone met was very likely there from the start and went undetected as that area isn't scanned with routine ...

I would get at least one more opinion if not two. What you describe doesn't make sense. It is dangerous to radiate the skin again and you do now want necrotic breast tissue. As for the sugery, there is no set right or wrong answer for that. It is more about the course of tx the doctor is wanting to do. From what you described I really don't see much wrong in the course of tx he has ...

I use to have scan attacks. I don't anymore. What will be will be. I pick up my test results within 24 hours from medical records. My waiting time isn't long. I will admit that my hands are shaky until I read the impressions. DJ ,

However, we are concerned that the volunteers, should they disagree with one another, or not like some things that are said, we could have real problems. We are thinking of ways to best solve this. We have added the option of reporting posts, to help reduce the amount of spam and problem-issues from arising. We truly rely on the support ...

This is terrible!!!! I hope the Moderators change their mind. I, for one \(of no doubt many\), would like to see her back. Please give her some hugs from me. This is very upsetting. I don't think any BC sister should be banned. Ever. Elizabeth ,
