I see this all the time \(in IT and insurance\) people over reacting. Renee, please trust your oncologist. You are doing great...Hang in sista. , )

( Thank you all so much for the kind words. I have a lovely white wine I am opening tonight. Have to go easy on the wine as I have been taking the max on my Percocet. I have decided to stay loopy until I see the Doc on Tues. At least with loopy, I have no pain - so two Percocet every 4 hours until then. At least the weekend is going fast. Linda , )

Zometa vs. TCH side effects
Published (2009-12-05 09:04:03)
( Cathy I had TCH about a year and half ago and had Zometa along with it. I had a relatively tough time with TCH so I wasn't sure which side effect came from which drug. However, after I finished up wtih TCH and continued on Zometa and Herceptin, I was pretty sure all the joint pain was related for me to zometa. I also would get a slight temperature the day after...

Thanks for your reply. It's much appreciated. :\) I start the Navelbine in the morning...and my onc said we would start me off slowly by doing it weekly till we see how it goes? She said Navelbine can be given in a one, two or three wk dose. So if I do find I will strech it out to 3 week dose so I don't have to live at the cancer center...I hate all the appts. I'm so dreading this ...

Konacat turn your coin over. Look at it from the other side. If your mom had something wrong and did not tell you, would you feel deprived. Would it make a difference to your relationship - would you spend more time with her knowing time was short. Would you have time to prepare your heart for the end when it will break - no matter what. So what would you want, blind bliss with a shock...

Dear Yamamama, I had mastectomy in May in Houston, and underwent 6 weeks of radiation treatments here at home during the summer \(which actually took 8.5 weeks to complete\). I was on Arimidex the entire time, and continued my monthly zometa infusions throughout the treatment. No problems arose from my staying on the Arimidex or Zometa that I was aware of. After 25 treatments, I had to...

Both River and Lisa logged on during the last week of Nov -- maybe they're busy with holiday stuff? I'm particularly worried about Abby -- she hasn't logged on since the beginning of Nov and was having such a hard time. If anyone has news please let us know. ,

Amy... The mets are breast cancer..........so any treatment you get, should work on them too. It is not the same as peritoneal cancer. Where are you from?...... I would consider getting a new oncologist..........Maybe a cancer center is possible? That is were all the newer treatments are available. ,

I am not facing the same decision yet so I don't have any advise, just warm cyber hugs for you. All of us at stage IV will eventually arrive at this place. I'm not stage IV so I apologize if I'm intruding. But have you thought of spinning? I discovered spinning last year - if you have a good class nearby, it might meet your requirements. The nice thing about spinning is that it is low impact, but a really good \(and not too slow\) workout. Also, since you set resistance and speed at your own pace, you can do it at whatever level you feel ...
