It's been a year.
Published (2009-12-22 23:45:00)
( How beautiful. Wishing all a warm, loving, and joyful Christmas. The year I was dx'd, we put lights on the tree. My ornaments are all very special, too. Including the ones made by tiny hands so many years ago. That year, the kids could only come home Christmas Eve, and we all usually put on ornaments, but that year, everyone was so tired. It was the first time I'd seen...

( As I mentioned in previous posts, I too have been on an aromatase inhibitor, Aromasin, for 4 years and my sex life has never been more amazing. Vaginal lubrication is great and orgasms are out of this world. There is hope and even if you have a different experience on these drugs or as a result of menopause, this thread is chock full of ideas and remedies, so get crackin' y'all!! ~Marin , )

( Rose I ,sure would love to compare notes. Let's not loose track of each other with holidays coming up! First did you read the article by Deb Jarvis in the CURE magazine, I posted the website in this thread? I do not have vaginal dryness problems even on arimidex. I had another test today and think I am onto something !! I was so afraid of sex sites to purchase anything at all because of possibly receiving...

( Good question, Con. If it were just pneumonia, we could kill it with antibiotics & it would go away. Fibrosis is another word for scar tissue. I have fibrosis in my chest muscles & my armpit, too, for which I've had to get PT to stretch out the cording & tightness. There are a few reason why rads could get into my lungs. First of all, they usually do, at least a...

( Lakewoman, I just love the fact that you are experimenting in this area. I've been doing the same for many months, trying to find a good solution without spending a fortune. I've tried supplements, gels, creams, etc. Maybe we can compare notes! Luckily, I am not on AIs, have been on tamoxifen for about a year now. Because of the vaginal discharge that it provides me, dryness is not...

Eyelashes and eyebrows are the slowest growing hair on our bodies. Especially lashes. I would say my eyebrows are now about normal, but my lashes are still about half their former length. I finished chemo in May '08.

Hum, I so did that, but my hubby swears it's the diet sweetener I have been ingesting for years. I will have to tell him he is wrong because we will now have proof that bc started way back in middle school..lol. I personally think it's because we played with plastic dolls made in, wait for it, CHINA...So there you go ladies, my official diagnosis for what causes bc. ,

It's a good thing to get away from the forums. Many people here have made cancer their full-time hobby. It's not healthy. Best of luck and best of health to you.

GryffinSong, I'm so sorry to hear your sadness. The one light in your post is that you're with your mother and she's supportive. I agree with Barbara, a support group \(either for women with bc or women with all cancers\) should be a tremendous help. I know how much my group has meant to me. Sending you many \(\(\(\(\(\(\(\(\(\(\(hugs\)\)\)\)\)\)\)\)\)\) Leah ,

How I got past this: drugs and therapy. Better living thru chemistry\(temporary\) and a great psychologist. You are at the very baby steps of moving beyond. It took courage for you and Nicole to post. That was the first baby step. Life is not back to normal and all the platitudes in the world won't change that. You will find your way, but in the mean time: seek counseling and don't ...

I am truly sorry you are going through this. Quite often, marriages that were shaky before major issues came along \(illness, financial etc\), are just not able to survive. It's tough. I've been there before and raised two children on my own. However, I was unhappy in the marriage from day one. There was nothing he could say or do that would make me want to stay. It was a wrong fit. It ...
