how about a sketch where Swoggle gets busted for something.. like that gimmick infringement he was doing or worse would be good and somehow it could work out well for him in the end.. would need a lot of work and they'd have to be careful with the sketch because fans really like him and we wouldn't want people thinking he was in any real trouble.. but ugh hmm that's about all I could think of after reading your post

Best "in ring" performer?
Best mouth?
Best merchandise that captures the imagination of the kids?
IMO the only one that defines "best wrestler" is in ring ability. Unfortunately, in the era of the WWE the other two seem to have taken precedence.

Oh and another thing, since there's no commentary for the match and you can hear the wrestlers pretty well throughout the course of the match, I have to say, Bret Hart as a tag team wrestler was bad ass, he's constantly talking **** to The Rockers haha.

Austin wasn't part of a tag team in the WWE. However, his popularity rose when he teamed with the late great Flyin' Brian Pillman. The Hollywood Blondes was such an awesome tag team.
I agree with what you're saying though, very weak Tag Team Division and Mid Card is not helping the young stars rise up.
