O.k., so maybe the saying "a change is as good as a holiday" rings true. I couldn't get to my gym today because I didn't have my car. Sorry, but I always think that sounds sort of hypocritical, I can't drive to the gym so I can't work out....uh, so what's wrong with this picture...Realistically though, my gym is more than a jog away. Sooo....I went to the gym at my nearby community centre. Walked...

Actually Cathy refers her gals out to 4 suit people and changes them every once in awhile. I was extremely fortunate that she added me to her list this year. I think her list is: Suit by Amy Passion Fruit Sylvia Trembely Go Figure by Tamee Marie (me) The floors...

I am already planning on competing in something locally at the end of march as well as the empire classic in spokane, wa in april. These will be my first. Can i get some suggestions or resources for where to find a competition thats right for me?

If your body is used to a constant flow of water, it will keep expelling water along with any excess sodium in your system that you are trying to get rid of the last couple days. In my prep I drink about 2 gallons but increase it to 2.5 gallons Monday and Tuesday of peak week, 2 on Wed, 1.75 Thurs, 1.5 Fri, and 2-4 glasses Saturday Morning, depending on what time I go on stage. This works for me but eveyrone is different If you cut it too...

No, you do not have to qualify at the regional show to compete in Vegas. They allow you to compete in multiple categories. Compete in both to see which one you place best at. In the bikini, there is a swimsuit round where you wear a competition suit, and a sports wear round. For both rounds you must perform a T-walk.

It depends on the type of competition. Different areas require different levels of muscle maturity as well as leanness. It also depends on your genetics and metabolism. I'd say for a local Figure show, you should be training and eating like an offseason competitor for at least a year to build a base before even considering cutting down for a show. I personally had been lifting for many years ...

I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to fitness. Where this was in my younger days I don't know. However, since I started to loose weight 2 years ago the bug got into my blood. Like anyone who hasn't done much exercise in the past I had to struggle with it for awhile. Now I do things to the extreme sometimes.
In March of this year (2010) I was in my kickboxing class and felt a terrible snap...

My best advice ,if u have a coach and have been satisfied with the results of your partnership thus far, would be to KEEP TRUSTING your coach and address concerns with him/her. this close to your show, you should not be ''thinking'' but simply doing. Uve got enough on your plate already ( no pun intended ! lol )
Good luck!

First off congrats on making this decision!!!
I would suggest going to the cheermusicstore.com, they have TONS of good mixes with sound effects from $4 - $20. As far as who to help you with designing your routine I would suggest someone like Nicole Duncan. She is IFBB fitness pro and is extremely affordable (compared to others). I think she charges $400 a routine. As far as costume I ...
