I've taken my 36' trawler south to Half Moon Bay a handful of times, and north to Drake's Bay a bunch of times. Most trips were in the late summer or fall, and sea state, while monitored, wasn't that bad. The last trip to HMB and back was over "confused" seas (swell from one direction, wind waves from another) and was most decidedly not pleasant--nobody got seasick, but there was a lot of ...
