Wow man thanks that's amazing. I downloaded that track adn a bunch of others by Marco Carola and Adam Beyer. PM me if you'd like me to send them to you. I'm digging the 1999 techno sound alot. sounds like that was the time to be into techno.

this is a 28 minute mix of original hip hop beats by DJ Bull and remixes using his music. i mixed it obviously. a tracklist would be sort of pointless since it's mostly originals and he's an independent/unsigned dj, but there are remixes of Nas, MF Doom, Slug, Murs, Fleetwood Mac, and DJ Bull's own group Split Seconds. DJ Bull's music is instrumental hip-hop or downtempo, in the same vein as ...

This is probably the best techno set I have ever heard - it's on Richie Hawtin's 'DE9 Transitions' DVD. It's a 30-minute clip of a Hawtin DJ set from the TDK Timewarp Festival in Germany in 2005. Enjoy

i was very bummed to hear that the label is going tits up. To be honest all of my shpongle came from torrenting. However, having heard that news i'm def going to be buying their catalog to keep things going for them.
Shpongle makes such intensely moving music that i would hate to think that ineffable tales could be their last....
as for the album, track 3 is def my favorite...

1) Make a load of boring tracks that all sound the same (or, better still, get some faceless engineer to do this for you for a small fee)
2) Buy a fancy-looking control surface (this should set you back no more than $1000)
3) Play 'live' sets that involve pressing the play button, and twiddle the knobs/sliders to make it look like you know what you're doing
4) Wear novelty ...

I can relate to all of these except that recently the radio in my car died so I have to listen to my headphones, which is a little obnoxious, so I go without music while driving a lot of the time. The silent driving thing is nice because it allows you to listen to other things that are going on and you can ponder stuff, also I like to sing or play djembe while driving. Occasionally I ...

They're fantastic. I first heard of them when they toured w/ Flaming Lips. I was amazed at their sound and the live show's visual elements. It's like they're a much better version of Animal Collective. They retain the psychedelia and electronics but in a more controlled way than alot of other groups w/in that same type of genre. I look forward to seeing them again. Also check out ...
