I ask because if you were going to get bookshelf speakers, then it may have been good to just get those now that you may be able to bi-amp, and then move them to the rear later once you get the fronts..... that was all.

Finally, we can have a single thread instead of having 5 pop up in one day!! Thanks big daddy In short, I own the 'flagship' (that's a joke) speaker system from the Monitor line. Monitor 70s for fronts, CS2 center, and Monitor 40s for surrounds. Throw in an Onkyo 805 and I have no problems driving rather very power hungry fronts at an entry level perspective. The center is clear and ...

Like the title says, I have about $1,300 to throw around in the speaker department. I'm in a little dilemma because I don't know what to buy. I'm able to get the following Klipsch Reference set up for about $1,100: two-RF-82s one-RC-62 two-RS-52s and one-RW10d I've only heard great things about these speakers, but have found a few other speaker companies on the web for ...

I'm right now running a 2 mains, a center, and a subwoofer that came with my Yamaha 5.1 speaker system. The mains are 2-way satellite speakers. There a local retailer that has Polk T15 speaker on sale for a little more than half-price and I was thinking of getting these and replacing my current mains with these and getting rid of my center and not use a center. I'd like to add a little more ...

Did you go through all the packaging and check to see if there is 4 metal plates? The plates link the woofers and tweeters if you only have one pair of connections (ie. not bi-wiring/bi-amping). Should look something like this:

In answer to your question, I only own Definitive Technology speakers and I think the sound from them is really fantastic. As you can see below, I have 2 powered subwoofers too!
