First you shut everything down and unplug the receiver. Next remove the jumpers from your speakers. These are the metal pieces that connect the upper and lower binding posts on the speakers. Connect the front left and right speaker connections from your receiver to the lower set of binding posts on your speakers. I have selected the DTS-HD/TrueHD audio track. I'll have to check to see if my Playstation 3 is set to bitstream. I believe I just did the auto configure for the audio

Denon and Marantz are owned by the same company, so they have a lot of similarities. You also could look into the Pioneer Elites, as I have seen nothing but ultra positive reviews of them. I myself have owned Onkyo and Yamaha, and don't have anything negative to say about them either.

Read this entire thread from AVSforum.com: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=11 78816 The HK AVR1600, AVR2600 & AVR3600 seem to have similar problems like their predecessors( HK AVR154, AVR254 & AVR354 ). Some AVS members have returned theirs. No professional reviews out yet. Not selling too well, hence the quick price drops( 2 months after release ).

Denon and Marantz are owned by the same company, so they have a lot of similarities. You also could look into the Pioneer Elites, as I have seen nothing but ultra positive reviews of them. I myself have owned Onkyo and Yamaha, and don't have anything negative to say about them either.

pass through means.... pass through to the tv. what you want is a repeater. usually receivers with hdmi pass through will also state that a seperate connection is required for audio
