I don't own one, but it looks fine to me. It has plenty of power and decodes the lossless audio codecs. I think you'll be happy with it.

...which isn't an unusual state of mind.
So, ace out the LCD/LED option. I've pretty much come to that conclusion.
Why DLP over plasma? I'm not sure I want to go to 70 inches.

Here is a comparison on two of Onkyo's most popular receivers, the TX-SR507 and the TX-SR607. The 507 is a 5.1 channel receiver, whereas the 607 is a 7.2. The 507 is rated at 80 wpc , the 607 at 90 wpc. The 507 has 4 HDMI inputs, the 607 has 6 HDMI inputs. The 506 does not upscale incoming video signals, the 607 does. That's pretty much all of the ...

Ways to secure a plasma?
This is a bit of a strange question. Hopefully I can make it understandable? I have my panasonic G-15 sitting on the center section of my entertainment center. Because it is sitting on the base, and our entertainment center has L/R columns, the screen is recessed some.
I'd like to find a way to ...

Wire Management
So I look at peoples Ht setups and they look great. The wires are hidden. I dont have a problem with rear speakers wires as they are under the house. My problem is I bought an open back stand and the wires drive me nuts. I look back there and say I am going totake this on. I realy dont know what I can do. The ...

Outside of my posters, which you can see in my gallery, I have these guarding my movies:
An X-Wing, a Lego Luke Pilot, the F-18 from ID4, Barricade from TF, and a Bf-109G.
I have a LOT more "toys" lying around, from when I was a little whippersnapper. Lot of Star Wars stuff, but that's all at my mother's house. I plan on getting some newer stuff, but not to put in my movie...

My equipment is listed in my signature.
Also, I know the first suggestion from most, if not all of you, will be for a 1080p TV...but what would be your next choice ? (as the TV is being taken care of/bought soon, so i won't have to worry about it )
Also, I wanted to move "up" so to speak in the HT chain, so don't let my current HT "fool" you with suggestions. I was thinking...

Hey everyone. I've been feeling like I'm missing out on half the experience of blu-ray so I'm looking to get a receiver and work on a modest system. I read that the Onkyo's are a good starter receiver. Is this still the case? Any other recommendations? Trying to compile a list to research since the big holiday shopping season is approaching. Thanks to any and all for advice and ...
