From Panasonic's website: Quote: For fast-motion sports, you want a television that won't blur or stutter, and for that the most important factor is a high pixel refresh rate. Plasma TVs that use "progressive scan" technology are more suited to fast action than those that scan their images in an "interlaced" format. As far as LCDs, new 120Hz LCD TVs with image interpolation are able to simulate...

The only plasma that has a "motion flow" type setting is the pioneer Kuro, it's called "smooth". It's not as pronounced as what you see on LCDs. It only comes in during panning shots and not all the time either. But of course the Kuros have a 72Hz refresh rate that that is used when anything with 24fps is displayed.

Depends on your viewing distance and it also depends on the type of tv. In the 2008 HDTV shootout that Home Theater Mag did there were 6 1080p sets and one 720p set and the 720p set won overall for picture quality, it was the PDP-5080FD Pioneer Kuro plasma.

Your tv is 720p. It may recognize the signal coming from your playstation as being 1080p, but since nearly every game on ps3 has a native resolution of 720p, I wouldn't stress about it too much for gaming.
