Hi Folks, I was wondering if you can help with a Vista update probl;em. Brand new PC fresh out of box. Fire it up and the first thing i do once i get online is try and get windows updates. No other software installed except what was preloaded. I am unable to connect to the windows update. Tried a few help sites and one suggested turning off the windows firewall. Did this and i can get downloads....

Me again with Vista qusetion #2 Anyone know why IE7 sometimes won't load ? I click on it and it just does nothing. When i reboot all is well. Any ideas people ?? Lazza

Looking at getting a computer-I have heard that either XP or Vista are really bothersome systems-something about it being a REAL hassle installing new hardware etc onto your PC...having to constantly notify MS online so that your computer works as the OS regards your adjusted PC as a different one to the one you installed the system on. Fellow Bleeding regulars, I’ve stayed with XP Pro and Home on various computers at home. I now need a faster one with better memory etc. for photo editing (larger files of DSLR) and video editing (planning a good Gigabyte Board, Intel Quad Core etc. I can get this with Win XP or Vista, perhaps Media Centre version. (Apple iMac is about $1000 more than Win world). Planning to use software like...
