For those who own and use both of these brands of SAK's, which do you find to be the best quality and how do the steels use in both compare? I have wondered about this for years and own 99 percent Victorinox. In fact I only have one Wenger which I bought about 15 years ago. I have not used it that much. Its the larger size with the saw and locking large blade.

Everybody knows that you're going to pay premium for a Honda. Which factory knife brands hold their value the best? You can be reasonably certain that if you have to sell it, the buyer won't be offering pennies on the dollar. The least? When you drive it off the lot, you just know that you're going to own it for life because you won't be able to recoup your investment if you have to ...

Here are some pictures. I bought two 710's in 154CM and one in D2. What a NICE knife for $102! This is my first Axis Lock knife. I took pictures aside my BM 913D2 and my ZT 0302 as well. Enjoy . . . [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG]

Case uses tru-sharp on many of its knives. How good is true sharp? Does it hold an edge? what kind of SS is it similar to 440, 420, D2?

After CS's supply of Carbon V dried up, the company began making its Recon Tantos from AUS8 stainless, and though I think AUS8 is fine for folders, I wondered if anyone, having owned and used each knife, had any insights they can offer. Also, if anyone has the newer AUS8 version and has given it a good field testing, how did it hold up in edge retention and in strength? Some Recons managed...

Reading about Moose and his 20 stitches reminded me of my childhood encounter with the ER (one of many, not all knife-related). Please post an account of your "knife accident", requiring stitches, blood transfusions, causing your mom (or wife) to faint, etc. My incident: About 1957, a couple of us 12year olds were throwing our hunting knives at a gum wrapper at our feet. ( This type of...

I am looking into selling knives in our retail stores and have already set up one main line premium brand, but would like to know what everyone would suggest. Here's the setup: You have 3 brands to start and will add others down the road. What would they be in order of best brand / price / allure? Thanks in advance

Just wondering how many of you stay with one knife or rotate your knives on a weekly or monthly basis. For me it keeps it interesting to rotate on a weekly, and sometimes even a daily basis. For the past few years I've kept a selection of six to ten folders of various lengths and styles on hand that I switch through on a regular basis depending on the situation I'm in. I'd like to know if this ...

I personally carry tip down right now because its the only option on my present knives. How do you guys carry? I've read that some people got cut with tip up. Any bad experiences with tip up and with what particular knives?

I am looking for a knife with about a 3" blade that weighs less than 2oz and is as durable as possible (I do realize that there is a trade-off involved). Right now, strictly temporarily, I am carrying a modified Opinel #7. It's modified in the sense that I have removed a ton of wood from the handle to make it thinner and slightly lighter. The only knife, so far, that I have found that seems to ...
