Does anyone know of an address for the Desktop Manager that works on Mac Os 10.4.1??

I feel your pain! My curve just did the same thing on my pc, only it was the first time I have tried to back up and now my contacts etc are seemingly gone!   If anyone answers my post I'll let you know asap!   good luck!

Same thing has happened to me,  I'd successfully installed and operated the 'leaked' version - that worked ok.  I assumed that the 'official' release would be better. WRONG!  All the issues listed by Giorgio, I too have suffered - worst being the loss of my Address Book.  DO NOT INSTALL this diabolical dog's breakfast - it'll ruin your day.    

My favourite bit about your post is that no one from the Blackberry team or elsewhere has bothered to reply.  (I'm in the same boat as you and would really like a reliable answer.)

Which sync option are you using?  faster sync is recommended (vs. safer sync)

OK, I'll bite...you also posted this twice..apparently multiple entries are in the cards for you...LOL   all of your questions are addressed in other posts...try a search. 

Exactly the same problem here. Seems to handshake OK at the start but fails during the attemped DFTP transaction.
