Why not use the backup feature in DM?. You can always selectively restore if you need too at some future date. __________________ OS 5.0.0.328

If you are charging over USB, pretty sure that all you have to do is go to options, memory, and enable mass storage mode support.
This should be documented somewhere as required for charging over USB.

If you are on anything below 5.0 .328 you just go to the verizon website and download. Install with desktop manager.

Thanks for all this info guys! I'll send a report on Saturday... won't be around next week, but hopefully I'll be able to pass on some more info the week after.
In the meantime, there was a suggestion that was made earlier that got me thinking... what happens if you wipe your phone (just a security wipe, not an OS wipe and reinstall) and only restore specific databases such as messages, ...

I deleted the OS and then loaded fresh and before installing any apps the accelerometer still doesn't go into Portrait unless I tilt it back and forth a few times (and sometimes have to just wait about 5 seconds). Now I have Socialscope, Podtrapper, FB, Messenger, and Poynt. These are the same apps I had on my other Storm that didn't have an accelerometer issue.

biggest difference i've noticed so far is no memory leak. on 328, i was booting up around 41 and it fall to the low 20s. been running t he hybrid for over 24 hours, i boot ed at 41 and its at 40.5 without a reboot.

So does this mean that 5.0 will be released for the the storm also?
If RIM is wanting to keep things simple and one has to think what ever is new in BES 5.0 will need the OS 5.0 on the devices to work 100%.
Plus from the marketing material for BES 5 the storm is all over the place in it, so it could be that 5.0 is not that far off and may be the one the carriers are really waiting for.

I shrunk my OS a few weeks ago, and after re-installing all my apps, I was rebooting at about 47MB. However, since then, I've noticed the amount of startup app memory is slowly decreasing after each reboot. I reboot at about 42MB now.
I haven't added any new apps since, I delete all SMS, MMS, messages, call log, emails, etc. I have my event log set to not keep track of anything. I ...

If they could get those three features in a 95xx hybrid with a 4.7 base the boards would crazy including myself. Looks like he has 544 followers right now. Needs another 206 to get him working on the storm.
