Sorry you feel that way, and I checked, autotext doesn't work on the to line. It will work on the memo pad which you can then paste to the to line, or you could have the contact in your addy, and it will pull it from there. The device is great, been using it very successfully for almost two years now, you just have to learn how to better. Cussing like a high school brat isn't going to win you any friends either. Another way to do this is Options>Security Options>Firewall>Enable> select what you want blocked>Escape and save. It is easy to go back in and disable the Firewall when you want to receive messages again. Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com

I wasn't exactly out to make new friends and will admit that yes I have a super short temper with non working electronics. I'm trying to get this phone to type the way I want it to and not the way IT wants to type but now that I know it is not possible with the TO: field I'm just gonna give up now. Thanks for the response and actually letting me know it is not possible with this phone. Time to ditch it for a curve with a full...

I'm about to completely wipe my phone using JL_Cmdr and reinstall the OS, just to see if that will work. If that doesn't, then I just give up. Lol. It's VERY aggravating though.

Volume keys shortcuts?
Published (2009-12-10 00:14:00)
Dont know any app to do that sorry. I don't think this is possible. exemple: when you listen to music and you get back to your home screen(keeping the music player in background), the volume keys control the music volume... So if you have an app shortcut set on it, it would hapen a conflict... no?

That might work, if: 1. You are good friends with a BES admin who's willing to do it. 2. The BES admin would have activate the BlackBerry on the network, push an IT Policy that deactivated the camera, then remove the BlackBerry from the network, leaving the IT Policy in place . Your teen can easily remove the IT Policy if he / she knows how to search CrackBerry for the solution. __________________ CrackBerry Memory Optimization Procedure...

does the Pearl (I have Verizon/former Alltel) work well for blue tooth hands free with Garmin Nuvi GPS navigators?
According to the Garmin site, Pearl is compatible, but I just wanted to check here and see if any one has any experiences with Garmin+Pearl for blue tooth....
The model I am looking at it is a Garmin 265WT or 285WT (both have blue tooth)...
Thanks for any ...

Memory, memory, memory.
Clear browser cache once every couple days.
When closing programs/apps, click the BB (menu) button and choose close at the bottom. Just pressing the red hang-up button does not close programs. You can use the Switch application option to check which programs/apps are open and running.
You've already got Quickpull which is good. I don't schedule mine...

Go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table> menu and Register Now. This will re-register you on the BIS server. Not sure if it'll fix your problem, but it's worth a shot! I've noticed if my browser is kind of sluggish, or things just aren't transferring right, doing this will usually help some. Maybe try a good ol battery pull?

I recently upgraded to a Bold 9700, but I want to put a SIM card from a prepay account that I have into my pearl, and just use it for incoming calls. Can I do this? Yes, it is the same carrier, but the phone is a NOKIA ETA: I mean, the phone I originally had on prepay - that's the nokia.

Wait. Given that the Pearl 9100 should be coming out soon (hopefully), I'd wait: Live Images of the New 3G BlackBerry Pearl 9100!! | CrackBerry.com
3G, Trackpad, all in the Pearl package.
And you can't upgrade to the 8130 as it is CDMA and you have a GSM provider: AT&T.
You'd look at the 8110 or 8120 (depending if you wanted GPS or WiFi)
But again, I'd honestly wait if you can...
