theres a thin wire that runs the length of the phone. i think thats the antenna wire and could be effected by the housing replacement. did you mess with that?

I got my stuff back. I was trying to do this through restore back-up and got all the errors. I did it by using DM, and going through the app loader and browsing to the file (a duh). Thanks all for the help

You can buy a battey cover pretty cheap, and then get a case so it doesn't get scratched up again,but to answer your question,I haven't seen one yet.

So i was talking with Blackberry support earlier today cause i had some troubleshooting problems i needed resolved and while we waited for my phone to reboot, i thought i'd take the time to ask the rep about 2 things: The Javelin and 3G in Los Angeles. She did confirm that the 8900 is being released with Tmo and that the date in the Tmobile system is listed as TBD. She didn't mention anything ...

Anyone painted there bezel themselves? Ima paint mine satin black and was wondering how many grit sand paper would be good to sand it and if it would need a clear coat ...I plan on paintng it with a krylon paint for indoor and outdoor use

a.) When it passes all the testing, not only with RIM, but with several providers.
b.) Totally up to you... read the postings about each OS version in the BETA OS Forum ... but some advice: know how to upgrade AND downgrade your OS before you attempt this... if you don't know how to downgrade your OS and what's involved in that don't do it.

do yourself a favor, dont be a lie and a cheap cheat. for like $30-40 you can go on cnn.cn and buy all replacemt parts necessary to make it 100% new looking again. after 15 mins of careful work, the phone will be good as new again.

*sigh*, this comes up everyday so please search. enhanced call audio. boosts the treble/bass of phone calls. push "L" to activate/deactivate it.

You can make calls, capital UMA is best so you have data other wise its the same as having edge instead of EDGE. UMA calls are not free unless you have the UMA plan on your phone the minutes count the same as a normal call

Interesting that AT&T would release a new OS version since we are so close to OS 5.0 version being released... and their OS for the 8900 is not very old.
