To the op's question. No. and the reps are correct. Tmo is gsm and vz is cdma. You can't put a gsm device on a cdma carrier. Completely different technologies. Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com

Also, make sure you have 1X, 1xev, or 1XEV. If you have 1x (lower case "x"), you have no data signal, and won't get any email, MMS, or web browsing.

I can't see your screenshot on wap, but have you checked your time/date settings under Options? Make sure they are set to either network or Blackberry time. Also, if you sync your BB using desktop manager, make sure you unchecked the appropriate settings under configuration, so that your BB's time doesn't get reset when you sync. Go unofficial. Its the only way to manage with a BB. The wait for OS updates is horrible. I got mine in like July or so and Sprint didn't put out a new update until last month or the month before. If I waited I would have been miserable. 131 was awful.

try pressing ATL + LGLG and clear the logs there and then when you are in App world do a battery pull.

Maybe try deleting and readding your email account(s). That always works for me after a battery pull fails.

My sister did the same thing and ended up with a dead phone full of rice dust and starch...lol. Rice is not the best thing to use. Silica Gel Desicant or nothing at all.
Glad your's was saved.

Try a battery pull with the phone on. Wait 30 seconds, reinstall battery.
If you have OS 4.5.0.175, it is a known problem to lose your ringtones/profiles.

Make contact with BlackBerry Repair Shop - A full line of RIM BlackBerry repair services and BlackBerry parts for all BlackBerry handheld devices and ask them to let you put a deposit on one ahead of time. They'll get a trickle.

I did a bunch of research at all sorts of different companies, deciding what I wanted in a phone, etc etc. I knew I wanted a Blackberry, wanted a phone since I'm a consumer and not a lawer/courtroom kinda guy, and the Pearl was too small. Looked at Verizon, Alltel, Sprint, T-Mobile (who I was with before and was getting shafted by) and anyone else I could find in the area.

I would just password protect it. Make sure you keep it backed up, though, when she hits 10 incorrect entries, I understand the BB will wipe and she will have to come to you, head hanging, and admit she was trying to access the phone.
