I've figured it out and just thought I'd post, as it may help someone in the future. I just re-restored my .ipd file after bbm was manually installed and all my contacts came back.

Wirelessly posted (8820) See what others say, but I think it's time for a new blackberry. A thought, if it is moisture, you could try removing the battery and drying it out; but if it is moisture and you left the battery in and continued using the blackberry, the damage is probably irreversible.

I don't know what to tell you to fix the problem....... Did you figure it out? If it were me, I'd try doing a hard reset on both devices, that is pull the battery for 30 seconds or more, then try again. If that doesn't work, just go ahead and back up the 8220 then restore to the 8800.

The 957 was, and is, indestructible. Can't kill them. Run them over in a truck. And the 8700 was my favorite on the "newer" devices.... Hated the 8800
