Downloading CD's via Roxio...
Published (2009-11-28 21:50:00)
Wirelessly posted (8820) I can't tell you how to fix your issue with Roxio. Most don't use it, at least going by discussions here on the forums. I don't use it. It's easier to enable mass storage and drag and drop to the media card. I do that, and sometimes use Windows Media Player to copy audio files to the card.

Curve running EXTREMELY slow,...
Published (2009-11-23 17:33:00)
I plan on doing that for sure! I don't use outlook, so I rarely connect my Blackberry to the computer, on the other hand, I'm on my laptop about 10 hours a day, so it hardly seems inconvenient to simply plug it in. I'm making a new habit for myself after this experience. Thank you again for your help!

Wirelessly posted (Tmo's cheapest BB customer) If you want to play it safe, just do a one-way sync.

Thanks again for your help!

need help-memory card problem
Published (2009-11-25 09:35:00)
Sounds like the card is the problem. Basic troubleshooting -- try the card in other devices. If the problem follows the card it's likely the card. Try another card. If another known good card works then it's definitely the card. In my experience the cheaper brands do seem to have more problems. I'v never had issues with memory cards from reputable brands (Sandisk, Lexar, etc).

Error code 102

Hello. JVM 102 is a common error, with LOTS of existing threads on it. Using the "search" feature at the top of the page, I found this with details on how to resolve it.. Good luck! http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...102-error.html

I would recommend doing an Advanced Restore from the backup rather than a sync. Once you verify that the contacts you want are on the device, THEN do a one way sync.

hhhmmm, did you install the device on your computer? If so I would try reinstalling it or removing it then adding it back in.

blackberry keypad layout problem

The keyboard layout appears to be a firmware deal and not something that can be edited, sorry.

I used to have the same problem. If you are viewing a video on youtube and it has HQ (high quality) vs. Normal, click on HQ. It will allow you to view a full screen video, ten times better than the little square you are seeing. I just discovered it after 7 months of Blackberry!

The exact same problem occurs on my BB Pearl 8100. The radio occasionally turns itself off for a minute of so and then goes back to full reception. I have tried different firmware updates which have been release in the past year (4.5.0.55, 4.5.0.69, 4.5.0.124, 4.5.0.174), but neither one of these four updates fixed the problem. I fear we might just have to live with this issue

Just so you know, I'm speculating.... Is facebook set up to send you email alerts? Is the facebook app on the blackberry a factor in this? If so, how about turning off the email alerts, and/or remove the facebook app as a test to see what happens?
And by the way, have you looked at your facebook web page to see what's going on there?

I have to ask... Are you sure you are inserting the SIM card in the correct orientation?
You might also try wiping the contacts with a dust free cloth, or even clean off oxidation with a pencil eraser.

Performed this upgrade yesterday and realized I lost BB maps so I just downloaded Google maps instead. But now it seems I can no longer send or recieve mms. It shows the green check icon next to the message but the recipients are not receiving them. Also I am not recieving their mms messages sent to me.
Any ideas why this has happened after the software upgrade.
Thanks,
Joe D

I thought Dimension Zen was one of the default themes that can't be deleted, but I'm not familiar with how maxmem works. If restoring from your backup didn't work, then reinstall the OS. Should take care of it for you.

Hmm don't carriers usually have a trial period for you to test their service? Also if cell reception is bad where you are, I'd consider UMA. Works great if you have a wifi router at home already.
