Every time I open it, it loads the map, then after a few seconds of using it i get a data connection lost retrying error and it never gets connection back. Blackberry maps works fine as well as everything else on the phone. I have an unlocked 9530 on tmobile. I did all the service books and everything works fine, but google maps. i'm on .151 Any help would be appreciated.

Vodafone Sat Nav is a GPS mapping and navigation service that brings local information, as well as mapping and routing capabilities to customers on their GPS-enabled cellphones by loading the Sat Nav software onto their GPS-enabled cellphones. Sat Nav provides a great navigation experience both for in-car and pedestrian users.

Is there a fix in the works for getting the BlackBerry storm GPS working with Google Maps? It just says waiting for GPS, then eventually that GPS is temporarily unavailable.

TrekBuddy - satellite recognition
Published (2009-11-23 12:19:00)
I have a BB8830 World Edition from Bell. I downloaded the TrekBuddy app, created several maps, loaded them on my 8g card. I can open TrekBuddy, I can load a map, save a map... All is good to that point. My issue is as such... I open TrekBuddy and there is a red light in the top right hand corner. I choose start and the button turns blue. Then I get a beep and it turns yellow and not green. Can any one tell me why I am not connecting? Note: I...

works okay here - using Tour 9630 on VERIZON and with os 5.0.0.230
I did have to go to settings in put a check mark in the "disable a-gps" box but other than that and making sure selected "allow" in permissions was all I needed to do.
Am in process of putting together brief info on multiple gps trackers and loggers. Until then I suggest you try "GPSLogger"

I was thinking the same thing. I'd figure it would be hard to truly pin-point your location with no gps tracking.
I mean even with GPS enabled it's only able to track 800 meter's (current) within my location.

Thats the interesting thing, it always keeps the EDGE connection. Even when
i exit out of google maps and still shows i have a connection. the gps
works, it will reposition me but the map never loads, it just loses the
connection. I cant figure out the problem.
