Wirelessly posted (8820) The Javascript location support? How about that! (I've always checked that even though I don't know what it does. I'm surprised to learn it made a difference.)

BES 4.1 - Pull Access Rules
Published (2009-11-30 16:25:00)
Thank you very much but as you can see, the document reports a different procedure for each of the two BES version 4.0 and 4.1. In the second one, unlike the 4.0 version, the Manager doesn't admit regular expression but only the usage of "*" char. And this is not enough for me that have to configure more complex rules in order to both give Internet access and blocking traffic to internal servers. I can confirm that also...

The PIN is still registered with a BIS account from the previous owner. Although the above solution sometimes works, its not gauranteed. The previous owner needs to delete the BIS account that the PIN is registered to. By the sounds of it, the seller is not the original owner. You're screwed.

Not able to send email from device
Published (2009-12-02 10:25:00)
Hello, For a long time everything has been working, until last week. Suddenly, we haven't been able to send email from our blackberry's. We are using Groupwise as our mail server and our BES is running on a Windows box, (Windows server 2003). The groupwise client on that is 6.5 and the version of Blackberry Manager there is 4.1.6.16 Might anyone have a solution to my problem. Help is always greatly appreciated. Tom

Wirelessly posted (8820) Nate, it appears to be working fine for me, using blackberry browser. (Nice design, too.) All I can say is check your browser settings, make sure you have everything enabled, experiment with emulation, etc. But perhaps you've already done all that. Also do a hard reset (remove the battery for 30 seconds or so). Also, did you clear cookies? (You ...

Also, I was offered this as a potential "fix" to my problem. I haven't tried it yet. Any validity in any of this? 1. Get a friend's sim card which is already on blackberry service 2. Remove your sim card 3. Place your friend's sim card in your phone. 4. Go to email settings 5. Wait for the browser to load 6. Log in using friend's user name and password 7. Select change device 8. Select...

Your parameter is incorrect. WAP2 != "deviceside=false". Also, I think you UID is suspect - where did you get this? If your carrier supports WAP2, then the UID is in the service book. See this article for an example of getting the WAP2 info: Livelink - Redirection

I just got this from Rogers via email to my question if they allow Data Only Plans. Ok so where is the $10/10MB plan on this list??? In your recent email, you have informed us that you would like to know if Rogers offers a data only service. We do have data only options available with Rogers, the following plans are available to customers: $15.00/month, for 1.5MB ($21.00 per ...
