pretty impressive, esp the use of color, I've been an art teacher, never seen a 7 yr old anywhere near this....his parents seem to have a good balance, he's in a supportive, but not pushy environment, lucky child

amongst your finest, a dream-like background for an imaginary bird that doesn't exist at all! I love how the picture blows 'hot' and 'cold' all at the same time, a freezing winter atmosphere where some colours just sing that little bit more, absolutely sublime.

Wonderful job, Andrew (love the cozy little trio in the corner on the first page). My only suggestion is to scale up and use that real estate. You've packed a lot of observation into a small little space, go ahead and give yourself some room!

Excellent title - simple, concise and does what it says on the tin!
Brilliant opening image, too - I wish you'd post more of your 'colour work' - it's always inspiring and enlightening stuff. Well done, Alan.
