I see a lot of other posts by guys with vehicles older than ours. What gives, I know there are a lot of you performing mods and tweaks to your vehicles but, there doesn't seem to be a lot out there for our vehicles. Let's ramp up! Something as simple as changing out Angel Eye Bulbs for our models aren't even discussed (02-05's have a different configuration). I think we have the best performing model of the big boys out...

I now the battery looks brand new, ( not necessarily my prefered brand ), I'll check the alternator output this weekend to see if in fact the alternator is the culprit, thx

Wheel fitment

I have a 1998 740IL and I have a chance to pick up a set 18" wheels and tires off a 2003 7 series. Does anyone know for sure if these will fit my vehicle and if so will I need hubcentric rings to put them on or will they be fine without? Thanks for any info.

My 750Li has 56K runs like a top and has had no problems except for a couple of switches that had to be replaced under warranty. Has every option that was available on the 2006. Owning and driving a BMW is a high lite of life and eberyone should have the opportunity at least once. Currently have extended warranty for service and repair.

I have a 1995 525I. It has been running bad for about a year now. When the motor is cold it runs like a bat out of hell. When it is at normal operating temp on the gauge it starts hesitating when you floor it. While it is idling and I go to the back of the car it has a strong gas smell. It fouled the plugs a week ago.

One thing I try to point out is to make sure they don't tint over the center brake light in the back window.

Could be the alternator on its way out as the code is defiantly a transmission code , if the voltage is not stable it will affect the transmission solenoids especially the torque converter pressure regulator and throw up codes, Ive heard of boxes going in to TRANSFAILPROG just due to the battery being to old and not holding the voltage, as your lights are flickering its either the Alt or Batt or...

So you have checked all the fuses...including the ones under the rear seat?. If so it may be a relay as you say, which one Im not sure....maybe you can do a goole search for its location...it may be the LKM and mustard coloured relay in the front fuse box (engine bay) but this normally applies to the headlights.

Have a read of this might be of some help:
IF the car has ABS ( anti lock brakes), the dealer is probably the only place that can bleed the ABS system. a scan tool has to be plugged in and actuate the ABS valves to purge the air in it.
IF the ABS system was opened up, it'll need to be bled.
if it wasn't, it should be fine.
a brake pedal that goes to the floor is a sign of a bad ...

Project Car e38?? Hi guys.
My name is Andrew and I'm new here. I would like to ask some questions about building an e38.
I found a 1997 730il with 20kmiles on the clock (probably turned back) but the car is in awesome shape. The hydrolic suspension have been replaced to a new one and I know the workshop that this guy did it in.
My questions are:
What is the best ...
