Cam, not to take this too far off topic, but I highly doubt the late torque/power is due to a standalone... I'd assume its due to the turbo selection, and general engine characteristics.. M5X's with standalones that are properly tuned will yield the same curve.

im not sure why this is such a big surprise. While HPF produces rediculous HP numbers we all know that torque wins races and we all know that the s54 is a torquless wonder. majority of e36 cars make almost as much tq as they do whp while the s54 cars are making like 150 less tq then whp.

IMO stainless is just about the same to weld as mild. I learned on stainless, and don't find mild steel any easier to weld

To keep it simple I ran this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AEI-13105/ I pulled the oem one ran new hose to in its place, then installed this inline on the return. I made a bracket and mounted it to the brake booster bolt. It was easy cause it only has two ports like the oem, fuel in, fuel out (and a gauge port/vac port). They sell regular fittings so you can...

I bought a Miller Millermatic DVI 2. It works on both 110v and 220v. I love it. It will hold a 30lb. roll of wire and welds a lot better than the last 110v Lincoln I was using. Plus, if you ever get access to 220v you will be ready.

6 an is good for about 5-600 rwhp, 8 an will handle just about any conceivable fuel requirements. Also are you talking about stainless braided line or stainless steel hard line. I would stay away from the stainless hard line, it is a f%#ing pain the ass. I get all my stuff from summit racing.
