Stroke the M50 and boost it, or buy an M52 and boost it. Or put an LS6 in it, and boost it. Boost is kind of a requirement in my life

An LS6 is still a Chevrolet (little goat)/GM product and not even near as precise a bit of hardware. The M50 based engine is perfect for the E36 chassis. its not too light nor too heavy. Its the porridge that baby BMW bear found "just right". Give your loved one what is "right", not some cheap, hacked up, engine swap car. Limit not the amount of love you have for her. Spend money, but spend wisely, not...

I think I'll have to take it on principal. You were the first one to know I broke my old shifter... I have a weighted selector rod and an adjustable shifter. I have the shifter as long as possible for precision shifting. I have not tried a weighted knob with it. If I don't like it in the e30, I can put it in my e36. PM me your paypal!

If you have 15k to spend rebuild the motor, and go with a Trm stage 2 kit.

I am by no means trying to be jerk or anything but... a 4k lb car, even if it had 500-550whp is not that fast or impressive. With a perfect run and a professional driver 500whp would get you 11.6+ in the 1/4. 550whp, may put you sub 11.50 but not buy much. Is this fast, yes, is this cool for a 4 door BMW sedan, yes! Is this super impressive and faster than sport bikes and a bunch of other cars???? HMMM No. Jimmy is running a Dinan set up...

Standalones are like politics. Good Luck. Alot of the things with a standalone will be the intangibles. Customer Support, Tuning Support, local tuners.
The best standalone would be the one you have the tuner most comfortable tuning. I wouldn't run anything on an E36 turbo setup that would not run atleast the injection full sequential. Running wasted spark is no big deal as most BMW ...

I would love a LS1/2/6 swap, but for the cost of its not worth it. What is you budget for this project, and are you going to do most of the work yourself? Seems like the cheapest way to go is to rebuild, or buy a used m52 motor(cheaper then going for a rebuild).

What spring is in the wastegate? If there is a 15psi boost (~1 bar) spring, the controller won't be able to set a lower peak boost.

THis is very common with Boost juice. I had to replace one sensor already and I am sure my stock O2s went bad because of this as well. There is a calibration in the software that can be configured for types of fuel being used. Not sure what it does or how it affects the sensor but i was always told to configure it based off 93 octane. If you have the sensor mounted too close to the manifold I ...

pics from today. Wednesday for starting it up??? Finished the wiring up today with cutoff switches for fuel and 12 switched power. Wednesday I am putting a switch in the coil power wire. This way after I install the nitrous, I will have the capability to crank the motor without any fuel or spark.
Just incase I forget to turn the bottle off and my N2O solenoid springs a leak.
