317s are not worked over heads . . . They are stock factory pieces . . . I'm not trying to educate anyone about CR. But this why you probably haven't seen a STOCK 10:1 LS1 making big numbers with FI like you have seen a 8.5:1 2JZ. That doesn't sound like bench racing to me . . . sounds like pure common sense. The point is, some peeps trying to compare a FACTORY N/A motor to a FACTORY turbo motor. . . including you Quote:...

5.4 DOHC TT ford GT=good find! I though a cummins diesel would have been the best engine to mod without removing the head. TO bad I can't afford that ford tt.

You have a pretty solid trap speed at least. Get your 60ft time and launches down pat and you'll be rockin'. Edit: Kudos to the guy with the .14 RT, also. Whether or not that was more luck than skill, though... >.>

The only thing i liked about that whole car is solid axle rear and tranny.

Sorry for the thread jack, I signed up to PM you, but I guess this board doesn't have a PM featuer??

Ask yourself this:
Do I want to do it right the first time?
Will I pay for convenience?
Do I have at least $3500 to blow?
I can speak from experience, as I did a OBDI M52 swap in my E30 and accounted for every expense to the penny.

The emissions system uses (2) sensors: one up-stream of the catalytic converter, and one down-stream.
The up-stream one controls the fuel/air mix, and the down-stream one monitors the health of the catalytic converter. On most vehicles, they are the same, except for wire length from the sensor. Take a look at where the second sensor is supposed to be, and install one - weld in a new sensor ...

Boring... The s52 is just as potent if not even more than a 2JZ...
Personally, I'm sick of the 2JZ nutswingers. Especially when they post about this swaps every two months.

The heads are all the same except for the 92 non vanos motor the main difference is the cams. Check out zionsville for a good radiator.
