Ok, Both companies have been around for over 100 years. That tells me that they are both stable companies that make a good product. FAG reports to have been the leader/creator of the process to grid down metal to a perfect ball/sphere. Both are large companies that have tens of thousands of employees. The easiest way is to remove the side covers and bang them out using a seal driver. Same tool to install. Plus their is an o ring that should be replaced as well, so you might as well remove the side covers. Just resealed the diff for the e30 and it was a piece of cake.
