So I asked the BMW guy at the local dealership about bleeding the brakes with ABS. He says to hook up a pressure bleeder and pump the brakes 12 times, then bleed. Then drive around a while and do it again. It's just difficult to get the air out and takes several tries.

In the late 60's and into the late 70's BMW began finally winning European races using the 2800 and later 3.0CS coupes...the racers used lightweight aluminum panels for the doors, roof, hood, etc to gain an advantage and when customers expressed interest, BMW built 3 series of Lightweight cars for the general market....each more 'racy' than the next...there were 169 of the CSL's made for instance so you can see they...

i prefer the E28 cluster, and i love its LED lights and economy meter. i know they're a little silly but for its age, it impresses a lot of people. it really shows how far ahead of its time it was for being 25 years old. i will say though, i greatly love the vast information that my GTO cluster has, as well as the simplicity and beautiful color combination found on my passat. in the GTO, you can't ask for more information. shown...

Basic system operation:
The pump supplies fluid to the pressure regulator/flow divider where it diverts flow to the power steering box and then back to the reservoir. When the steering is neutral, the fluid passes straight through without any pressure building up. If the wheel is turned, an internal valve allows pressure to build ( 1470 psi Up to 1885 psi) to assist in ...

did you post them for sale in the Wheel & Tire FS Section ?
I'd think they should sell well at that price.. considering the tires alone are worth that much... being practically brand new.
What makes them "two piece"? is it a beauty ring with wheel ordeal?
Its not a bad looking set of wheels. I' d rock 'em on mine and be tempted to get 'em if I had the disposable cash.

shooting those guys sounds a bit harsh.
I've done that a few times with my car. if you have a set of tires that you don't care about, it's actually really fun. you just have to know how to use the clutch well so you don't roast it. at least he's not doing in in the snow/ice when it would cause rust.

Hey all,
Finally got my 6er back after having some stupid $*#% pull out of her gas pump spot in reverse.... directly into me.
My front trim pieces were so brittle so they snapped from the impact.
So, I need the long black front inserts for the bumper & I need the left & right side bumper surrounds.
Anyone?

I enjoy both, but a wise man once said you gotta keep your wrenching vs. wheel time in check! It sours your appreciation of the car if all you do is fix problems. If I was a true masochist I would've just bought an old British car!

Likely it wasn't the alt. or the old battery...the light only comes on to test the bulb and when alternator is NOT charging.
You have a short that's draining your battery...the sound you hear is insufficient voltage to activate you starter. Battery is dischared.
Recharge, drive to a diagnostician for simple testing to locate which fuse has the current running thru it in the key off and out ...

Its more of a fiddly job then anything else.
How familiar are you with how the alternator works on these cars, with respect to how it tightens the belt?
There are 3 bolts that basically hold it in place. 2 of which go through the bushings on the alternator, and 1 of which attach the tensioner track bracket at the engine. Youll have the most luck loosening the 1 bolt that holds the ...

Personally, I like all round gauges, so the later version with the rectangular cluster encompassing the coolant, fuel gauges and the LED display does not really appeal to me. Looks so 1980's!
You're right about the looks of the orange needles, they really stand out more. The tach is a trifle small though.
