It will be located in the trunk on the drivers side, behind the carpeted paneling. Follow the wires from the antenna itself to the amplifier, and you can go from there... Best of luck!

7-series audio system upgrade

That's the system you want to use for your $2K demo? K. I gotta tell you, I would whup on that system for $2K for sound quality, I don't think it was intended for SQ, I think it was intended for someone who wanted lotsa bass. For $2K, I would spend on an RF 360.1, I would use a single sub, and I would get better front door speakers and leave the backs stock (but Jeff knows this about me already : )

IF it goes into protect with nothing connected but power, remote and ground, you have a problem with the amp, or a problem with the ground or insufficient voltage.

Your dealer can run the VIN and let you know if the car is pre-wired. Even if it isn't, the install can still be done, it'll just cost more to have done.
Either way, the dealer will have to perform the installation, and your only option right now is Sirius.
You can expect upwards of $1K in total charges as well. I wish I had better news for you!

Need the model number of the sub to give you any help.
I think the p2002 is a 2 channel amp so your sub(s) needs to present a 4ohm load to the amp.

ok, so 4 channel amps ARE meant for speakers. but you CAN use it for a sub
1 option is to Bridge BOTH front and rear channels and find a dual voice coil sub, where each coil is 4ohms. the downside to this is you will need a DMM to match your front and rear channels. while this option makes the most power for a sub, there is a good chance your sub AND your amp will not like this and die....

You may have to turn down the "glass breakage" mic. Google it... but basically you have to pull the alarm brain out and turn a dial down...
Low vibrations will cause the alarm to just go off. Example...

Looking for a headunit, maybe an inexpensive Alpine to get to me through the next six months. The last thing I want to do is buy one from Best Buy (unless they have a huge sale).
Anyone know of anything?

Looks nice!
Do you have room behind the door panel to use a MDF baffle? you may find that the hole is big enough when you space the speaker 3/4 of an inch out...
If this will work do a couple layers of deadening and something like ensolite between the baffle and the door where there may be a gap, and you have a good surface. clay or deaden around the baffle, and you have a good seal. Or...

I'm planning to replace the front door speakers in my '06 E90. It doesn't have the Logic 7 system so it has 4" components. I was just told that the mids have a very unique mounting system. Can these components be replaced with a standard 4" system? Do you top mont these onto the door panel? Can we fit a 5.25? Thanks for the help guys!

I know intermittent failures on the hood switch cause falses, and are common around that mileage. You can unplug the hood pin from underneath - try that. It's in the engine compartment, not on the radiator support.
