I point that out later in that DIY topic. 92 NON-VANOS M50 is the only one with "hot wire"(barn door) style MAF sensor. 93-up VANOS M50 motor has the "hot film" style MAF sensor.

I've never seen a TQ curve effected so dramatically on the 3.2L motor. I have heard that it is pretty noticeable on the 2.8s though. -E
