Did you read the Lovely Bones, Dickie? I'm worried about seeing this movie when the book was so visual and clear.

Absurdly I didn’t finish the book. It was a holiday read that I accidentally left at the poolside. However Mrs Me loved the book and thought the film as a decent adaptation. “The special effects are a bit overblown and tacky in places but overall it works.”

Anyone else catch Frankie Boyle chairing Buzzcocks this week?Furious heavy sick stuff.- Loved it! Glad there's still a place for the likes of Frankie in this tepid new comic climate since the Ross Brand fiasco. (And I bet they edited out a lot as well.Which I'd love to see.) I thought Buzzcocks might go down the sewer once the amazing Amstell left, but it's been OK with the guest hosts actually.

QUOTE(itsmeBarbara @ Dec 16 2009, 12:26 PM) They filmed a lot of it at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. I only dislike Clooney when he's in a Coen brothers movie. Even "Oh Brother"??? I adore that movie.

Thanks Walshy! Walk the Line - its very good, very very good. Obviously it helps that I love the music but, and this really worries me - Reese Witherspoon was not in the least bit annoying. It does beg the question why she does all those awful chick flicks but I suppose she has to feed the kids. Joaquin Phoenix is on the money with the voice (especially Ring of Fire) and the way he holds the ...
