Honda CG125 Quinn insurance Buy your bike now but don't start yet (bikes are cheap during winter)cos you'll have to buy cold weather gear,a decent set being 300 quid upwards,and in a few months they'll be locked away for most of the year anyway. Don't do it if you're not 100% on being able to do it!

The Yamaha Dragstar/Virago 125/250 or the Suzuki Intruder 125/250 are two excellent small cruisers, and the tyres are a reasonable width. I had a Dragstar 250 (pretty much similar) and found it a steady, comfortable machine. Note that the smallest Yamaha cruiser nowadays is the 950 Vstar, so a Dragstar would have to be secondhand.
