ROBBEN ISLAND, South Africa (AP)FIFA has decided to expand the womens World Cup from 16 to 24 teams in 2015. Although the 2011 tournament in Germany will stay at 16 teams, FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said Thursday that womens soccer had advanced so much it made sense to add teams. Valcke, speaking after Thursdays executive committee meeting on Robben Island, South Africa, said the value of womens soccer around the world has...

Welcome to the travel restrictions in Concacaf, especially for something like an age-specific women's tournament. You actually think that Dominica or USVirgIsl would accept the expense of traveling? (BTW, props to Dominica for getting a draw.)
So it looks like 7 of the final 8 of Concacaf are known: Jamaica, Cuba, St. Kitts & Nevis, and (Trinidad & Tobago [v] St. Lucia) from ...

Chelsea is nearly out fo the title race already having already lost one and drew one. Should they loose away to Everton they are finished.
This is based on the previous seasons with 12 teams where the title was won with 61pts, 62pts, 66 pts. They are already on 61 max.
So it leaves us with a 2 horse race like last season.
Bristol and Blackburn will struggle to stay up as well.

From what I could tell during the EURO 2009 coverage, the perception of the women's game in England is a lot more negative than in Scandinavia/Central Europe. I read an article from a (female) BBC News writer for example who suggested women should use smaller balls, fields and goals.
Also, just labeling it a " pro league" doesn't mean anything really. I'm pretty sure any English ...
