Hmm.. Wonder if this would work in Seattle: http://www.thestar.com/sports/soccer...ms-takes-shape Quote: The 7,850-square metre playing field will be the first major sports field in Canada to employ a SubAir System, which acts like a huge underground vacuum to pull away excess water. The technology, used on the greens of such renowned golf courses as Augusta National, Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass, also forces air from pipes underneath the...

It's not the GM that needs to be voted out. There is someone else I am thinking of, and not an owner.

The state of our conference's Champions League is still pretty pathetic, for all the reasons the last few threads have highlighted. What I was hoping, was the Sounders would live up to their words that they wanted to establish an international presence with their franchise and give this tournament the prestige, it deserves. Instead, what I already see is hints that the tournament will be dumped to Starfire beyond the first qualifier, and...

Its almost here, well, a few months away and we Sounders want to make another splash in our 2nd draft ever. I know not a lot of you watch college soccer. But its good to cover it. Perhaps GoalSeattle could throw these names out to our amazing GM . @import "http://diacache.daylife.com/_static/release-46080/v2/css/daylife/thickbox.css";

Isn't Qwest technically owned by the state? Can read more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qwest_Field#Funding Because it is owned by the state and the whole intention of it was for both Football and Soccer I suspect that there are stipulations that force first and goal to treat a team or teams who use the field a certain way. @import "http://diacache.daylife.com/_static/release-46080/v2/css/daylife/thickbox.css";

I don't think it will even be discussed in the near future (save for BS boards). We have a great stadium which is instantly expandable, it has great sightlines and, I can't emphasize this enough, it is DOWNTOWN. I personally think this is a huge reason why the atmosphere here is as good as it is. It's not just a bunch of folks driving to the parking lot and going to a soccer game. It's an ...

I wonder if they would have been as quick welcoming DCU into the CCL? Or if there really was any doubt that the winner of USOC would get a berth in CCL.
Blazer seemed really excited to get the Sounders in with our high attendance averages. Heh.

No chance this happens, for a number of reasons
1) Scheduling would be the same headache that the Meadowlands have had since the Metrostars launched in 96.
2) Paul Allen is part owner of Sounders FC which is why the club gets the sweetheart deal at Qwest, a second club would pay rent through the nose.
3) What would the fanbase of this second team be, people disgruntled at not ...

Four are Sounders no more, cap space is free for a striker.
If Nate Jaqua played the way Nate Jaqua has in the past then I believe the Sounders would have won the whole MLS Cup. However, he unfortunately didnt and struggled at times to break into the starting line-up late in the season. Neagle, Fucito, Brown, ...
