Its become plainly obvious that ex-Port people have helped shape a premiership winning side (Dew, Guerra, Gilham, Harwick, Clarkson, Pelchen, Morris, Russell) whereas ex-crow people have proven themselves to be duds (welsh, hudson, fantaysha!!!!). Any surprises here? Hawks sure didnt model themselves on "Cow United", did they? But they never wanted to win some cycling race I guess...

Rick Ladson - Puffs himself up and runs around like he's some kind of tough guy, in reality he is very average. Lucky to be on an AFL list and gets carried by his teammates. Just a nothing player.

Its a fact that cant be disputed... Only Adelaide and Brisbane have won consecutive flags in the AFL era. In this time period there have been three Victorian "superteams" yet none have been good enough to go back to back. Congratulations to the Hawks for keeping this statistic intact. I hope all the Geelong bigheads realise how hard it actually is to go back to back now, especially...

Seriously, can't someone start a new thread? Do we really need to bump every old thread where someone says "Hawthorn are crap and won't win a flag before 2015" or "Luke
Hodge is crap" and so on. I know people made some really horrendously innaccurate predictions about the hawks but the only purpose of these threads was to try and annoy optimistic Hawk fans.

The Windies won the test series in that acrimonious tour 2-1, as Australian won the final test, having lost the 2nd and 4th tests. The 1st and 3rd tests were ruined by rain. That was the tour of the
Dean Jones 'no-ball run-out'. The Windies though were not finished, as they also win in 1992-93 2-1 in Australia as they won that Adelaide test by 1 run, before an Ambrose inspired 3-day ...

"Qualifying for the 2006 World Cup had nothing to do with the heroics of goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, the ice-cool penalty kick by John Aloisi or supercoach Guus Hiddink. The real reason for Australia's great football victory is some investigative journalism by comic John Safran." - David Sygall,
