I think a workable model will eventually appear but I'm happy about what's happening right now. I've felt cheated and ripped-off by movie and music makers for a long time now. It hasn't been about choice, or even about supply what people want, it's been telling people what they should like and then only providing that. Top pop stars are usually neither talented song writers, nor great singers. They are vehicles for the...

I really wanted to tell you guys you were wrong. I thought this would be another BD bully pile-on where the douchebags du jour make someone miserable for no good reason other than their insecure swarming instinct. Plus she's kinda cute and wears glasses. I got about 20 seconds in before I shut it off. Torch the whiney bint.

What's the etiquette for "friending" people on Linked In? I've been on it for some time now, but I've never really used it much. I have seen other people use it as a valueable asset though, especially when looking for work and recommendations, so I'm thinking of putting a bit more time into it to make sure I can get the best out of it if I ever need it. At the moment I have about 15 people from ...

I usually charge 5000 yen an hour just to check someones English (not against the japanese), and 7000 yen an hour to check the translation against the japanese. As TPS said, if its well written you might be lucky, but if its sh!te then you will be retranslating it at 600 yen per page...better flipping burgers as he said.

I have my suspicions that NRT doesnt instigate the shit you people accuse him of. So im going to start watching where and when a thread suddenly turns into a thread all about NRT guy purely by dint of him posting a reply. The rules are straightforward. If NRT guy lowjacks a thread with more than 1 "why do you think that?" or some such, then NRT guy deserves the shit he gets. If NRT guy posts ...

How the f*** can you be "seriously injured" by pulling out of a driveway and hitting a fire hydrant that you know is there? If this were true, most female drivers would've put themselves into intensive care multiple times. I guess if the driveway were 2 miles long, and the fire hydrant had been packed with explosives, this story might start to make sense. But for now, I call bullshit, these ...

I've got several friends here who do this and don't bother with the legal side of things. They only sell their CDs at their events or put them on the counter of bar/shopowners they're friendly with for sale. I don't know whether you'd be more or less likely to get pulled up over it in a big city like Osaka.
