12 months min if you want them to support you a visa. i know one of the big 3 has a 12 month min regardless of visa status. not sure on the other two. thems the rules.

Hi Everyone, I'm a current JET with plans to apply to medical school in May 2010. I want to know if anyone has applied for and interviewed for medical school while a JET participant and, if so, his or her experience. Peace, KS

12 months min if you want them to support you a visa. i know one of the big 3 has a 12 month min regardless of visa status. not sure on the other two. thems the rules.

You can reapply, but only if there is a ten year gap between when you left and when you reapply. I was on the JET Programme from 2004-6 and I am now soon to embark on writing my MA TESOL thesis. This will be looking at ALT's perceptions of the JET programme, which issues affect the goals of JET as decided by MEXT, which issues seem more common, and if suggestions can be made for improvements. It seems that many studies have been done on JTE's perceptions of JET, team-teaching and so on but ...

You're usually paid according to the number of words to translate. What would be the point of paying the same amount of money to two translators when 1 can only do 60 words per hour and the other one 200?
