When I'm lazy, I bake. Otherwise, I fry in a pan OR deep-fry them which tastes incredible. Love the nice crisp on the outside. I hate just plain boiled perogies.

Actually, that noodle place on 14th street down the hill from SAIT (the name of which simply escapes me at the moment), almost every time I've been there, it's all people eating alone. Then again, there's so much slurping going on you really wouldn't want to bring others XD

Originally posted by extm88 i went through a stretch where everyday for lunch ide throw a handful in the water, then fry them to add some texture and douce them in bbq and hot sauce with some shredded cheese and either mix it with shredded ham or chicken. Took about 2 weeks before i noticed it building a beer gut but damn was it worth it. Im definitely going to have to try that out.

I guess and baked mine at 350 for the duration that Pollywog at put on those pics. They turned out pretty good. A little soggy for my tastes so I may fry them next time instead of boiling them first.

Damn, where are you looking at for these deals. I'd be interested in knowing where these two sets could be found for this price. As for which set to go for, I don't think you could go wrong with either, but a copper insert makes for more even heating.

I think it'll be the mom&pop places that take the prize in this competition. They all have their own "take" on poutine and the unique flair is what really makes a poutine great.
When I lived in edmonton, Duke's did a really great poutine. Helped that I was always super drunk whenever I ate it though....

I tried Uncle Moe's for the first time last weekend based on reviews in the other donair threads on beyond... We were in the NE and needed lunch, so looked at the nearby restaurants on the Garmin and realized there was an Uncle Moe's right near us. So we ended up at the location on 16th ave and 52nd street. I suggest the Hamptons Coop liquor store if you want to make a trip up, usually they have a lot of miscellaneous drinks such as Crystal Skull vodka, or even better, get someone to check it out for you first then make the trip?

It's microwave popcorn, so automatically
You can get bacon flavored salt, however, to sprinkle on air or oil popped popcorn.
Call me a traditionalist, however, but I prefer a hot air popped, melted-butter-and-salt-pour-over flavored, traditional bowl of popcorn
