Hi Everyone, First time Yelper here. Anyway, my 21st birthday is coming up on November 10th, which is a tuesday!! I am looking for a fun night out with my girlfriends either in berkeley or the city. We are up for anything crazy, but we are not into the Britpop or 80's scene, we like current, top 40s kind of stuff. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm talking specifics. For example, "one girl I know" ate a half dozen of Love At First Bite cupcakes in one sitting and licked her fingers after wards. It was a proud moment. Or the time when I munched and swigged away a paycheck at Oliveto. And don't get me started on shopping. Pretty Penny: belt, boots or jewelery? How about all three? Discipline is a long lost friend. So make me feel better, please. Spill it!

A friend of mine recently made an interesting comment: "You can always tell if a girl is American or not (when traveling abroad) - chewing gum gives it away every time." Is it true that chewing gum is a uniquely American thing? And is it an attractive or repulsive habit? GO!

Has anyone every given their landlord a gift? I know, people here usually complain about landlords but I have REALLY terrific ones and would like to show my appreciation! I'd like for it to be a little more original than a gift certificate or a nice bottle of wine. Yelpers always have the best ideas!! Please share :)
