Well.. sir Henry there might be more to it. Even in technical World very seldom there are direct answers. Seeing and listening to the car, the proper troubleshooting takes a process of analysis and eliminations. Than fact is that information obtained very easy is going to be easily forgotten. I learned from my late friend, who was professional MB mechanic how to make sure the info will be remembered. When his customer asked him about...

A bit about sir Kris, besides his polish origin, he usually teach you how to solve the problem rather than giving you direct answer. You would become wiser if you talk to him more

You changed the T mount but not the motor mounts? That's the classic sign of collapsed MOTOR mounts, so change them out. Please take a minute to click the user CP link and add your vehicle and location to your profile as that is often useful information.

faulty open door sensor?
Published (2009-11-06 11:06:00)
It look like a door switch is not functioning. You might want to try to put some cardboard/ tape on the door where the switch touch it as it might be as simple as the door is not closing it properly. My front door had to be reajusted because of this, it was closing but not far enough for the switch. If all work with the "spacer" just reajust your door. If not take the switch from another door and swap them and see if the...

Kaj Some folks should "Never" pick up a wrench, but it is not rocket science. Both my Mercedes are the easiest cars I have ever done oil changes to. The drain is so close to the front of the engines, it is not even necessary to jack up the car. The E-320 is a little sensitive to oil level, however, and caution should be taken to not overfill. Both cars came with the belly pans missing for some reason. It has not mattered as I...

Hi Alex,
First, any error code? Your CEL may not be on but there could be error codes stalled in your ECU. You would need carsoft /SDS/ etc softwares to detact those codes.
If any coil doesn't work, there would be misfiring, and hence the vibration, and also trigger a code or CEL. If no code for misifiring, your coils are fine. Those vibrations you mentioned could be due to old engine ...

Same deal on this side of the globe as to the first two MY having the four speed. The trans was the 722.5 and one nice thing is you can use commercial fluid instead of the spec mb stuff. Oh, it also has a drain plug on the converter. And of course havimg the dipstick is a nice touch.
The same transmission was also used extensively in the the W140 and W124, so there is lots of information...

The 124 has issues with the "door check strap" that sounds like this. Not sure if the w210 does but you might try to search that term.

No way it would take that long. It took me about 1/2 hour per wheel onmy

wagon is.

Ashman,
You said: Source: www.stopshopanddrive.com ($46)
Their price went up a bit, but still the best price I've seen.
$64 for aftermarket, $88 for genuine. Since many in the forums
have said that the genuine stuff doesn't look improved, I just
ordered the aftermarket one from stopshopanddrive - free shipping, no tax.
I plan on using the Home Depot rivets. Has anyone ...

I am a believer in freedom. As a result I believe people should be able to maintain their cars as they see fit, but they must be able to live with the consequences of their actions.
If people want to change their own oil, go to an Indy, or take their cars to the dealers it is really their own business.
However it is my personal opinion that any of the 3 options listed above are better ...

If you don't know how old the battery is have it load tested. That is the least expensive thing you can do. I don't know what to say about the " thunk" but a failing battery usually still has enough juice left to run the lights and the radio. Stuck in Park might be normal. Before your problem started, did you ever try to move the shift lever before starting the engine? This might be a built-...

Just read it could be the heat exchanger on the head? Any suggestions on this?
Any oil in the header tank, I think not. Any water in the engine oil? Are the carpets wet inside the car? Have you had the cooling system pressure tested? Just a few thoughts.

The cabin/pollen filters are upstream from the carbon filters so there shouldn't be any debris around the carbon filters unless the car was run without the pollen filters in place. Could happen but it means the carbon filters could be plugged with dust.
Nothing wrong with the Meyle brand. At the time I bought mine (autohausaz) I think they had Bosch and that's what I got. Any quality act. ...

Is the CV joint in good condition filled with grease?
Why would you replace good OEM joint with a knock-off?

If you're talking your MY 95, it's surely fine. If you mean the 99, check the approved fluids list, but at 154K...for one oil change I can't imagine it making a difference.
Personally I'd just buy a single quart of whatever you currently are running and dump it in, or change it early to this stuff. I don't like mixing oils as a general rule.

the square shape to which you refer, looks like a label that was not removed from the alloy/wheel before mounting. The mounting marks of the wheel on the disk suggest it is an alloy. i.e it was a new wheel fitted.
Did the car have an accident previously have an accident where that wheel was struck? Perhaps it spun and hit the rim off kirbing?
Hence the new wheel and the uneven wear - just a ...
