Just pull center knob off. Bulb is just below stem that knob fits over. Using small forceps gently squeeze bulb and pull straight out. MB part number 002 544 02 94 or Osram 2721.

I would also check the Tirerack on the pads. If you go with the Akebono pads there will be not squeaking. The kit comes with some lube that you apply at installation. Save your money and try this first. Mike

I believe there are four metal clips (two at bottom and two at top) that hold that piece in place. You can get the tool from your local MB shop to do it - it's a hard plastic wedge that gives you an opening to yank the piece out without damaging the finish. Alternatively, you can carefully make an opening on the sides using a screwdriver (protect with a rag) and then just pull the cover off - ...

Check vacuum supply. If good, connect vacuum pump directly to EGR valve and apply -200 mbar. Idling engine need to stall. Release vacuum, leave pump connected.

In some cases the lights will work, but the switch's signal is not being read by the ABS/BAS/ETS.
Just have another person stand behind the vehicle and check function or wait until it is dark and
look in the rear view mirror as you step on the pedal to look for the brake lights to light up.
