merc s500 but the renault TX was being sold during the early to mid 70's the TS series comes with manual window riser. our silver shadow is 1975 and it too comes with the same gadget, FYI only and not meant for argument. Nope the 119 engine was just an off shoot project, as usual proven to be a good engine and powerful too, but then again the oil leaks and the peripherals liek the wiring harness are the worst in the automotive industry....

its extremely easy to take those tail light assembly out of the fender, you will need to unbolt the inner attached nuts, take off inner liner and tail light door cover in order to best see the nuts. release the plastic garnish covering the trunk lead seal, when your done with the nuts, just push the tail light assembly outward, making sure some one will be catching it on the other side.
Oh ...

I'm pretty sure you could do it provided you have a clean workspace and the service manual next to you.
I mean why not? Most mechanics seem to be able to do it and my question to you would be this: If it was so impossible to do why are all mechanics not brain surgeons?

I can't find it but years ago a member installed a small Bluetooth unit in there surrounded by a burl wood trim was pretty nice.
Also if you want to put a flip out screen in there you'll have to live with it poking out about an inch and a half. I would not mind but some do. Provided you put some molding round it I think it looks ok.

Sorry to interrupt:
Take them off before your baby gets a reperatory infection, and needs new MAF sensors (300-500 dollars each)
The KandN have 2 issues:
1-they are oiled.
2-They are under restrictive as far as teh M120 is concerned.
The oil and particles passing the filter, stick to the MAF components, cake in, and contaminate it... as it has been reported by many members...

Avoid the cheap brands they tend to work on less players and last the least amount before skipping.
I use TDK on my 10 stacker, and never had a problem.
Does skip a bit going over bumps which is frustrating however that is not due to the type of CD , more suspension or dirty lens.
Oh and what program do you use? I always use Toast Titanium (Mac) pretty simple, just drag songs from ...

As a rule with these V12s... the newer the better, the lesser mileage the better.
If you buy a gen 1 W140 600 you'll be shelling out lots of money to keep it in shape properly. Not to mention, it's quite hard to find a low mileage (less than 90K) pre-1995 S600 in the states.
I would say go with 1997+ W140 S600, low mileage.

I have often toyed with this idea. Personally I think you'd be better to
paint right out to the edge of the tail-lights not just the middle
reflector.

I've been grappling with this choice for sometime. For my next car do I purchase a newer W140 or an early W220. Or something else.
My personal opinion would be to say no. I'm not convinced that the early W220's are really worth it.
That being said it would depend what your W140 is like. If it's well maintained then it should keep going. If it's starting to feel like a car that is slowly ...

There are three, and they wear away with time.
The dealer said they're necessary to keep the car in specifications, claiming the car is quieter, and safer to run with them in and up-to-date.
They're relatively inexpensive.
Any benefit?? Wear ...
