Mogasaurus is right, of course : These are Questions we simply cannot answer with any accuracy. IMPORTING is a FEDERAL issue, REGISTERING, LICENSING, TITLING and such, are a STATE issue. That said, even the particular person you deal with in your state might make a difference. Some states are cranky (California...); some states with more , uh, understanding registration laws will be easier to negotiate. In short : You have to do whatever your...

Garage Exhaust Hose

I've used hose left over from my dust collection system, with bits of pvc and or metal pipe. Works fine for idle speeds. Anything more I don't know. I wrap the connection to the tailpipe with a wet towel, to seal it and keep the heat down.

Make sure dummy wheel has enough width to reduce pressure applied to floor of container. here it will cost you thousands to repair a floor damaged by what you ship. Check out donuts... no not the kind Policeman eat at the coffee shop... the sold kind uses as a tiny spare tire on cars. Had considered one of those with the center remade to Mog Wheel bolt pattern.

Nice web site looks good and easy to use, I like the turbo kits for the 416, is there anyway to mount the turbo out the back so you dont have to lift the cab???
Is the website easy to google say if you type in unimog modifications will you pop up strait away ??? Guess I will just add it to favorites though !!!!

My inspiration... Rather that re-posting pics, here is the original thread outlining my clutch disaster. Good pics!
The clutch was a total loss. I even had to machine the flywheel.
Now, the list goes on for modifications and some improvements. I bought the vehicle with a fair amount of modifications, but many were never finished. A lot was broken, and well... you ...

Steam cleaning works great, it might take some of the paint off though. I figure any paint that comes off deserves to come off anyway, as it wasn't adhered enough.
On a 404 there aren't really any electrical components screwed into the running gear to damage. The biggest thing to watch for is the electrical box at the back of the frame, and try not to hold it at point blank range next to a ...

The Flaring tool is made in England. There are updated versions available
in England, but I have not found them in the USA as yet. I stopped looking a while ago, so things might have changed.
The "007" is the same basic tool, but the new ones have additional features. The newer tool is the one shown in the box.The difference is that the head will carry multiple dies , so changing from one ...

Here are a few I had on the computer of my Doka's 120L tank, hope it helps.
I do know that if you have a Doka, the step needs to be moved out or cut.
Mine was cut, but I wish who ever mounted it would have moved it out. When
I got the truck there was no rear step at all. I had to use a two door
pass. side step and rebend and make a new mount for it. Not as nice to get
in as a full step would have...

The first big question: Do you have to present the truck for inspection ?
If you THINK the answer is 'Yes', why do you think this ?

It depends on how comfortable you are with mechanical work. For me that would not even raise an eyebrow. Pretty easy fix.

If it's the same as the one I just did....then no you don't have to remove the Ebrake shaft. There is a cap that you remove to get access to an allen that pushes the piston out or in for initial adjustment. It's at 90 degrees to the piston/shaft.

I used some 12 volt air solenoids from Mcmaster Carr, they were less than
$20 each. The stock handle operates the rear locker now, the switch for the
front locker is a pushbutton on that shifter handle. Took less than an hour
to do.

Interesting Case MB4-94 on ebay. Some how I doubt the 25 year old paint cleans up that nicely, but anyway: anyone ever seen the bedsides before? Case issue or aftermarket/ one off? Look similar to the MB sides but I think the hinges are wrong. Mercedes-Benz : Unimog:eBay Motors (item 180425849625 end time Nov-07-09 19:06:03 PST)

Of course it's possible but a supercharger is inferior to turbocharging. Two main reasons, a supercharger consumes engine power to work, a turbo increases efficiency. The other is that a turbo's air delivery is variable, coinciding with fuel delivery and rpm. A supercharger's output is fixed. Sorry but the technical terminology for this eludes me.

Chris,
I just sent a copy of the Slickrock video to you.
It's hard to believe it has been seven years and two kids since I sold you my favorite toy.
Take good care of it so I can buy it back from you in about twenty years after the boys finish college. <lol>

Well, until that guy shows up, I'll take a shot at it.
You probably have all of this, but in case you don't...
On page 79-ish of the TRUKLITE PDF catalogue, you'll see what the FEDS want to see.
Next, I'd follow the lead of MB as far as what they did to get the UGN series trucks here.
Next, I'll dig up some photos of what some of the locals have done, most of which you have seen...
