No-cost allergy gift ideas -...
Published (2009-12-04 12:23:00)
I would love to get a gift from someone this year that shows their kindness and concern for me as an allergy and cold sufferer who sometimes gets down. I think we should get back to giving gifts like that rather than thinking we have to spend lots of money. That's why I came up with some no/little-cost gifts that mainly take time and thoughtfulness. Take a look at these ideas in the latest post, "Gifts of Kindness," on...

Do you know, i so agree with you!,. Here where i live it is 4:00pm, and it is nearly dark, because of the rain and wind,. My point is, like you, i feel like hibernating, but i think if i sit, i'll never get back up!,. So i try and take the dog for a walk each and every day for at least an hour, ''rain, hail, sleet or snow, i go!!,.

Those are great - the chicken soup is a perfect idea for anyone as winter approaches!

I don't feel as much like heading for the Y every morning for my exercise classes when it's cold and rainy but I do feel better after I go. I'd rather curl up with another cup of coffee! I take my dogs for a walk daily too. Once you get that started, they will motivate you to keep it up!

The Tamiflu pill is my choice for battling this scare. April Hunter (a
wrestler/fitness model) on her website warns of the shots not being fully
tested on people before they were released. Due to the high profile media
scares that this virus might wipe out millions if not treated. I'm thinking
her advice sounds logical. She's no doctor, but I know wrestlers and models
do care what is put in their...

Good advice Sheree! I take Astragalus extract daily, eat a smoothie with blueberries every morning and start taking fresh garlic the minute I feel " something coming on." I've found that the crushed garlic really does the trick. I either put it on buttered toast or crush it and put it in hot salsa. The cayenne pepper in the salsa also helps burn off any cold or virus. I very rarely get a cold ...
