I do find it strange that the rest of the hair on my entire body is black, except for my beard, which looks like a box of crayons up close. Umm...look closely at mine. Sometimes I think I look like a calico cat!! Natural light tends to show off a beard at its best. I think a lot of blond and lighter coloured hairs get lost under fluorescent or artificial light not to mention how coloration can be stifled. Agreed! I'm certainly going to...

Very nice growth, and very nice complement to your face/head shape. How old are you? You have youthful skin but the grey hair adds a touch of maturity to your appearance.

Hey razorburn, quick question; what camera are you using? I'm buying a digital camera sometime soon, and I love the quality of your pictures.

Justin, Your beard looks good. It sounds like you have a pretty good plan of action for your beard growing, as well. My only recommendation is to go at least 10 weeks (maybe longer) before carving your style. I was amazed how my beard continued to develop even after that amount of time; yours might surprise you as well. I'm looking forward to your outdoor pics, too. I'm sure all of the colours you mentioned will really show up under...

My understanding of this is that hair goes through cycles. Growing phases and rest phases. It grows, rests, sheds some, grows again. I wouldn't worry.

Your mustache will soon rival that of your fellow Brit whose name I've forgotten but who is an expert in human geriatric biochemistry. His beard is longer than yours by a few years.

Fabulous beard, man. I would go to the interview with a beard, but trimmed down to 1-1 1/2" length. All you need is a flannel shirt, and I would say
you're from Maine.

Hi, Jimbo! Good to see you back. Sorry that 2009 has not turned out so well for you, but I wish you all the best for a happy (and bearded) 2010.
Start growing. Get bearded!

Help us how here...what exactly is being said and how are you reacting to
it? There is really no excuse for rude behavior. You have some control over
the situation, such as pointing out the rudeness, stopping interaction with
the rude persons, or even attacking the person back to demonstrate what he
or she is doing.

Looks well. You won't know how well until you let it grow.
Leave it at least 2 months, maybe 3, then decide.
Also take photos so you have a record of your progress...
You may think your beard is not growing, but you can be surprised.....!

I think you should consider doing a stache and soul patch combo with trimmed sideburns. let the mustache go wild man. you got really good growth there. I think
you'd look good with an oversized stache. just my 2 cents. keep growing man.

I know what you mean. Since I grew my beard and especially as it becomes
longer I notice friendly gestures coming my way more often, such as nodding
ones head. I especially notice this to be common with other bearded people.

Check out the Rules of Beard Acquisition at the top of the General Discussion. There is a rule about the itching, and the growing process in general.
Your beard is extremely full. There is no apparent weak spots at all! Try not to look to closely at it while it is growing in and IGNORE the negative comments!
Mostly those come from people that have no concept what it is like to grow a beard....

Looks great! As far as necklines go, I personally find that carving one is good if one is not going to let their beard grow out too much. I went for a week and
a half without trimming mine and I simply couldn't get away with it in regards to work. It was suggested to me that one can lower the neckline as they grow
their beard out if they intend to grow it out. By doing that, at some point a ...

Welcome to the board!
I do have to say I think the fullbeard suits you a bit more than the strap, but both look good and you have good full coverage for whatever style you choose!
