Eating out in the evenings with...

I would not go out in the evenings with LO . Lunch yes, dinner no. Dinner out with a baby who often cries is not my idea of an enjoyable time, plus rightly or wrongly, a crying baby is likely to cause more irritation to other diners at dinner than at lunch. But maybe that's just me...

Its certainly true for me, I had MS but apart from that pregnancy was relatively easy, labour brilliant and quick, and he is such a good baby he sleeps 12 hours overnight and naps well in the day time.

She got a check up (heart, hips, following objects etc) with her first set of injections at 6wks. In her red book it does say something about another one but can't remember when it is.. I think it's basically the HV just watching them play rather than an actual official medical check up.

ugh i dread every one, dex screams as soon as I lay him on his back and he proceeds to commando roll over and crawl away. my oh is her in the day so it usually takes two of us. if i am on my own i use my legs to pin his arms down so he can't turn. it doesn't always work but it helps

16 weeks - how much sleep/naps
Published (2009-11-25 20:10:00)
He sounds alright to be honest. They need about 15hours sleep altogether so if he's doing 12-13 at night, he only needs 2-3 in the day. Theakston usually gets 11ish at night then up at 7, an hours nap at about 9.30, an hour at lunchtime, and an hour around 3/4 o'clock so he gets about 14hours. However, it varies depending on what we're doing, where we are etc. Sometimes he really fights it and I'm having to force him to...

Eating out in the evenings with...
Published (2009-11-25 17:26:00)
I'm quite happy to go out at lunchtime or for dinner as long as it's not past LO 's bedtime but after that I think it'd just be painful for all concerned. Aisling wouldn't be happy and would be moany, I wouldn't enjoy myself because I'd stress about keeping her quiet and the other diners wouldn't have a good time! So for evenings after her bedtime, I restrict it to going to friend's houses for...

when Kian was younger he did it all the time but it happened less and less as he got a bit older...he only really does it now if he's been laying without a nappy 4 ages. when he was really little i'd either b super quick and not let his willy be uncovered for long (get the new nappy ready and keep the old one flopped over until u can quickly swar them over, then lift the new one up, wipe and ...

Not sure of the answer really! I still burp Caidan and he is just over 5 months, although to be fair, he does it himself most of the time, but sometimes I still need to rub his back. I suppose we will notice when they are doing it themselves and we dont need to do it anymore?
Not much help, sorry!

Hey Mynx,
congratulations!! Evie is beautiful! Hope you are both doing well!
Thomas' cord stump fell off after about 5 or 6 days as well, after that a little bit of blood would collect there from time to time, the midwife said it was fine and just to clean it off using cool boiled water, she was quite vigorous when she cleaned it, I had been a bit afraid to be firm when cleaning it. It ...

She could be teething yeah hun. When Leo is teething he never eats anything. It's not nice is it When Leo gets like that I feel like I'm not giving him enough. But just try her at each meal time and if she doesn't take it dont worry! As long as she's kept well hydrated she will be fine. Maybe give her a bit of calpol as its likely she is teething. Keep an eye on her temp too. Don't worry, ...

A baby can't be overweight at 8 weeks.
I've just had a look and Ruby weighed 10lb 6oz at 8 weeks.

Blimey, you have a routine already....I am jealous!! I have no idea how long my lo is awake or asleep for. She is completly random but also I don't really pay attention, I just go with the flow and let her do what she wants. No idea if I am doing the wrong thing and we will have problems later
I am trying desperatly to establish a night time routine though but not having much luck!

This worries me. What possible reason would you have for giving your child tea? She must have tried him with it for no reason to find out it "settled him"!
I'm sure she wouldn't give your LO anything like that if she knows you don't want it to happen though, as long as you set the rules you should be fine to leave her with her.

Hey,
I was just wondering whether you are all still happy with the choices you made about your prams/pushchairs etc?
I've got the Quinny Buzz 3 and I bloody hate it!! Yes, its useful for when Emily falls asleep in the car and I can just stick the car-seat on the wheels, but other than that, I am so disappointed in it.

I breastfeed him to sleep but my OH can sometimes get him off by rocking him while he's on his shoulder or standing on the spot swaying. He won't do that for me, presumably because he knows I = milk!

I was just reading my " Parents" magazine and there is an article about moms getting together for playdates and having cocktails while doing so. To the point that there are actual "mom" related drinks names, like Momtinis...
Im just curious what other moms think, is this ok? Is this not ok?
They are not saying "get drunk" but drinking while you are having a playdate...
I personally ...

She's not eating or drinking water and drinking very little milk She is hot to the touch but i dunno if it's cos of the central heating and mummys cuddles or if its a fever.

i am sick to death of people commenting on how big corey is.. i know he is big but he was 9lb 10 oz when he was born and was on the 91st centile and he still is granted he is 15lb 11 oz and 3 months .
My sister in law had a baby 2 weeks ago and everyone keeps saying how little he is compared to corey .. its really started bothering me as someone asked me if i over fed him the other day .

Has your baby ever been a model? Would you consider it? What are your views on it?
