We are buying for family kids only this year and my god son and his sister. But that is 12 kids ranging from 9months (by christmas) and 11 years old. I don't think it's being scrooge, just sensible. We are finding things tight at it is with out starting the new year in more debt. Kerry, Freya and Erin. X X X

jacob adores waybuloo - he smiles at the tv when it's on. I do worry about him watching too much as I often have it on in the background, but most of the time he ignores it (until he hears the waybuloo music!!)

Swine flu vaccination
Published (2009-11-30 21:31:00)
Abby isn't having it. My mum's a nurse and she said there is no need to have it. Also I have a friend who is a children's nurse, and another is a midwife - and neither of them are giving it to their LO's. I know some children are very poorly with SF, but most children do just get a bad cold (about half who get it will have no symptoms at all). I think it has all been really hyped up personally - but that is just my...

I don't think Ella will have it. A friend of ours is a paedeatrician (sp?) and she has spoken to her boss and they have both agreed that their children aren't going to have it as it hasn't been tested well enough to know the long term affects, if any. I am thinking of going on their advice as they will have seen children with it, and if they aren't giving it to their own children after that they must be concerned!

I like that!! Oh so true, but in all honesty, how many of us would do it differently?!? I would love to spend less, and wanted to just do gifts for the babies in the family this year, but hubby said no, called me scrooge!!! LOL Next year though, I will definately be telling one of my brothers and his wife not to bother though as I get fed up of being bought crap that really does go in the bin (sounds spoilt I know, but they are a right pair...

don't worry, baby tv or cbeebies is fine - my (almost 3) son watches it a lot but still plays loads and runs around and is very sociable. he's also learnt lots from it (numbers, colours, shapes, nouns, adjectives - even in french as i also put french cartoons on for him cos i'm bringing him up bilingually). at the end of the day, if it makes your life easier and lets you get on with the chores, etc. (and providing he isn't...

I've been waiting to see if I got anything through the post for my two. I imagine I could get one for Izzy too if I wanted as she's only 4 1/2. Not sure whether I want to or not though tbh - would be really interested in what others think? Kathryn xxx

Have you tried textured rather than actual lumps? Just to get him used to something other than puree? other than that I have no idea I am afraid as my lo was the other way - never liked purees! It obvioulsy isn't a chewing problem in your case if he eats finger foods? That must be really hard for you :(

Follow your instincts and trust your baby, Only you know her well enough to make a decision like that. You wanted to see if you could change something try increasing the amount she eats at meal times. If she does't take any more then she doesn't want/need it. My little girls is 29 weeks. She still has 5 8 onz bottles a day and 3 meals. She weighs 15lb 1 and has...
