They are very nice pics of lovely cars. This reminds me of a thread I saw with pics of Porsches. You know of the Skoda Fabia II cake, what about this: Forget the Skoda Cake - SEAT Cupra.net - SEAT Forum Sorry if it is a re-post (it probably is).

If you're getting a camshaft position sensor fault then that would explain why it doesn't start.

I too have noticed a difference in fuel economy. When I have used Shell fuel I have got about 36-38 mpg round town... now I have switched to Tesco I am really struggling to see 35mpg.
It's not much but it makes a difference when looking at the trip counter and how much fuel you have left!
I do like shopping at Tesco but think they are gaining a bit of a monopoly with things but aren't ...

They don't need to catch speeders any more, thats what speed cameras are for.
As for respect, i don't think it matters what car they pull up in. I'm sure BMW/Merc driver's used to laugh when the police drove Octavias because they don the Skoda badge, but they are decent and capable cars.
Is an i30 going to get through London any slower than a porsche? Probably not.

For what it's worth (I don't like this kind of discussions as I stated before), on German sites (as Autobild and Auto Motor und Sport), the fabia II is one of their all time favourites, only beaten by the new polo. It shows how relative these discussions are, and how perception differs from person to person, from country to country...
Do I like the Fabia II? I'm not blinded by its beauty, but ...

My car in good company.

I quite like the range; they just seem to get beaten by the competition usually! Other marques have better all-round packages. A bit like the Astra VXR, great in a straight line...
Likewise the Insignia VXR - think I'd rather have an S4
Anyway, no real experience of them, but there again - maybe there's a reason for that
