I think repairing a PAS pump is a specialist job, so you're down to buy new, buy used or buy exchange (if available).
That said, most reputable dismantlers will let you test parts before purchase, and/or supply with a limited component only warranty.

1) they just pull off, the
underside is formed into the shape of the top nut, and they do get brittle with age too so dont be suprised if you snap one, they are not really essential to be re-fitted afterwards, they just stop the top of the thread going rusty,
2) the hole in the hub is plain, but with age they just get stiff due to road crud etc, knock it out with a centre punch, often when ...

ok, the wiring looms for the rear lights run down the left hand side of the car..
have you got a multi-meter or some sort of test lamp you can use?
does your car have a towbar with towing electrics?
you should be able to trace the wire from the brake light back along the car, if you use a probe on your multi meter with a sharp point you should be able to stab it
through the wire to ...

it is possible to replace the switch on its own. prise off the cap of the throttle body, and you can see it straight away. Its a standard mini-
microswitch with a simple screw holding it in place.
Take a look and i gurantee you will work out how to replace it
you can get a switch like that from RS / Maplin / CPC for about a quid

i think you gunna struggle with this.
rear discs. you'll want mk2 golf GTI stub axles callipers and discs
as for the front. you'd be best off using 8/16 valve corrado front discs with a spacer ring and willwood callipers with a custom calliper holder.
all of the above is explained in more detail in other threads, just used the
search bar.

All depends on the exact damage. It's probably not worth a great deal of money but then if you scrap it you still need to finance a replacement car which may well be more than the repairs to your car. One option is to do the
bare minimum to get it road legal and safe and not worry to much about the cosmetics and leave any bent bits that won't affect the headlights and parts like that.
If the...

I think it reduces induction noise on the engine as far as I know.
Don't think there would be any adverse affects in taking it away but then again don't really think it will be decreasing the
airflow much not on a standard tune engine anyway. The engine will be able to suck in more than enough as it is.

Just leave it unless the noise drives you up the wall, well, not literally.
