it does light up but had to cross carriageway on a steep camber to see it under hard acceleration. difficult to see any other time

CAN not ready was the problem - dual k lines were showing OK, otherwise settings as already written above. have been in touch directly with Uwe, looks like my cable has a defective CAN section so isn't communicating as it should. will be sending my cable back for replacement/repair - is still under warranty. 1yr + 1/2 old but covered for 2yrs :-) i will report back when i have a new cable !

Please go to VCDS > Options and make a screenshot of the current settings please.

yah i have maxidot but i cant seem to find any options within the maxidot display to do what i want to do ie turn xenons off or seat belt warning off or auto lock on . tried every button press going/stalk position - all i seem to do is clean the front/rear window ,indicate or flash my lights ;-) found all sorts of settings i dont need to mess with tho heh!!!

youngie do you have the maxidot display in your car, cos you can adjust some of the settings in the MFD menu (you hold down one of the stalk buttons - the ones that cycle the display (mpg, duration etc))

My polo has developed a fault - the ABS light comes on intermittently... VAGCOM says electrical circuit fault on hydraulic pump- i clear then nothing for ages.. then its back on again. It points towards a dodgy connection somewhere - can anyone suggest a fix / where to look to sort it out ?

Is there anybody who can help with a VAG-COM read of any fault codes on a 2001 1.4 16v (AUB) Fabia that now is showing the EPC warning light. The guy on the VAG-COM map hasn't been around since 2007, so I'm not holding out too much hope. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated Cheers

Update:- Checked all the vacuum feeds again last week and no leaks or dodgy lines. Vacuum tested out fine so all the upstream stuff was functioning OK on that side. As the anti-shudder valve wasn't working even thought the vacuum was strong at the right point on shutdown I decided to capitulate and buy a new EGR valve. £161 poorer and 20 minutes fitting at the weekend had all running again nicely (sounded better must admit, and could...
