Not sure what could be causing this and it's odd that Tomcat does not log the error. Your reports exist in the Input FRS but your instances live in the Output FRS so focus on this aspect of your installation. I.e. dig around in there - might be worth looking at the source of the listed instances to see if you can obtain any doc references to try and locate the physical entities on the O-...

Hi experts. I've a business object pointing to a sql server 2005 ; using a universe connection; when I run reports I always get the error "Failed to Open the Connection". I tested the universe connection and it's ok. The ODBC connection used by the universe is ok. Do you know what I can check or it is a known problem? Thanks Stefano

First off all, the latest servicepack level is SP5, you say you're on SP2, this may be a good reason to see if the newer servicepack will fix things for you. Second - your number of 25 concurrent jobs for one jobserver is a lot higher than the default 5. What would happen (as a test) to lower the number to 5 again and see what happens? Also, what is the 'next recurring time' for ...

We are looking into options to add some resiliance to the web/app tier of a BOE deployment and are looking around for information on what approaches people have taken. The sizing guide suggests tomcat can cope with 400 concurrent users, and this probably fits within our user community numbers. on the subject the deployment guide suggests "Hardware or software load ...

Are you doing this straight on to your live environment? Do you plan on doing any regression testing? Sometimes, a fix pack breaks more than it fixes.

Has anybody else experienced these issues or anything else negative from FP 2.1 for XI 3.1 SP2? I've been reading the release notes and there's some things in there that look really good for us. But this is first I've looked and am finding cons.
